Behavioral: MESA Day was fabulous! Only thing missing – more teams to intensify the competition even more and deepen the learning experience.
Affective: While no team was able to dethrone Carver, I think the real take home was that students were able to pinpoint reasons for design or presentation weaknesses that cost them points and a shot at the title.
Cognitive: Participants really learned and applied the engineering design process through the team building exercises. Project management skills definitely improved for most of them as well. I’d like to see more students involved and continue working in the family like atmosphere that we have developed. One thing to move up, the start date for actually building prosthetic prototypes.
