Working through lunch with the MESA Saturday Robotics Academy students or holding LiveS..T.R.E.A.M. daily instead of twice weekly are good signs that all children are hungry for STEM & Project Based, Collaborative Learning. This passion and the division labor that comes with working smarter as well as harder makes it challenging to document activities. This then is my best effort to log my transition from focusing on a more traditional lab science to a STEM based approach, from "mad scientist" to "mad thinkerer". I expect to have students able to highlight the similarities between the scientific method & the engineering design process. To do so in a story telling, digital format would only add to their creativity & problem solving skills in a real world context that is prerequisite for so many exciting careers.

While many have helped in my professional development, two terrific ladies have shaped and directed my efforts towards completing this eportfolio: Dr. Catherine Shifter & Dr. Jamie Bracey (both of Temple University). The former has led me to carefully consider my stance on educational technology, while the latter proves to be a great mentor for all things STEM from program development to implementation. John Leigh, formerly of Temple University, and the entire UPENN FLL staff have been wonderful "shoulders to lean on" when I needed to brainstorm my options.
