Behavioral:
We finished the Rube Goldberg Machines to encourage even more tinkering and for the sake of having the students see a project thru to completion. Also we discussed the purpose of engineering before adding Team names and problem statements to the Engineering Design Notebooks. Dr. Baxter also introduced motion analysis and tracking to the groups.
Affective:
Building, tinkering, drawing and designing are all very much strengths of this group. Most are self motivated and more than willing to learn different approaches to making a prosthetic arm. One, Marquis Atkins, is even working alone (Lone Wolf) until he can recruit others from his school, Roxborough High.
Cognitive:
Students are exploring their options and the limitations thereof as we go forward with prosthetic arm development.
